Price indicators show how a vehicle's price compares to similar vehicles listed on carsales.
They are based on recently delisted carsales listings, and reflect where a vehicle sits relative to comparable cars with similar attributes (such as make, model, year and kilometres). The comparison is based on a range of similar vehicles, which can vary depending on factors like kilometres.
Price indicators:
- are based on carsales listings only (not the broader market)
- are an estimate, not a valuation
- cannot be edited or purchased by a seller
Remember this is a starting point only - you should make your own assessment of the vehicle and its price.

Why doesn't a vehicle have a price indicator?
A price indicator may not appear where:
- there is insufficient comparable data
- the vehicle has characteristics that limit comparability (e.g. customisation)
- the vehicle has been identified as having hail damage or being written off
- the vehicle is priced above the comparable price range
